Over the past 3 days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), the committee and members have been undertaking a track rebuild in preparation for the yearly Proline race held at IRC Off Road. Much of the track was dug up and re-laid, with sections being slightly changed according to racers feedback.
Other work was done on cleaning the pit area, fixing the entry and exit of pit lane to ensure safe pit entry and exit, along with widening of the pit lane entry and exit. An extra watering hose was added to the far Westerly fence which now allows us to have 3 people watering the track at one time.
The track has been rolled over the 3 days with a 1.5 tonne roller and has been watered with the help of some molasses.
We have also erected a brand new sign at the entry of the track - so keep an eye out for it!
Thank you to all that helped over the 3 days, it has been a massive effort and the track looks top notch! Bring on Proline!
