IRC Off Road would like to wish all members attending the IFMAR 1/8th Scale World Championships in Perth starting on Thursday (01/11/18) the best of luck. This event is the biggest in the RC world and IRC is proud to have members attending.
Goodluck to everyone who is racing and most importantly - have fun!
Thank you to all members who turned up on Saturday/Sunday to get the track back in shape. Unfortunately the crazy amount of rain we got over the last few weeks along with vandals meant we had to completely tear up the surface of the track and re-roll it.
It is back in good shape now and ready for this weekends Club Day!
IRC's AGM was held today. As a result we welcome a new Committee for the 2018-19 period.
We would like to welcome all of our new Committee Members. We would also like to thank our members who have stepped down from the Committee for their dedication and hard work over the past year.
Our new Committee looks forward to an even bigger and better year at IRC Off Road.
The new Committee can be viewed HERE.
Due to the extremely large amount of rain over the past few weeks we have received at IRC Off Road, this weekends race day has unfortunately been canceled. There has also been some considerable damage done to the track over the weekend due to push bikes being on the wet track. This will take a large amount of time to repair and unfortunately with the forecast still looking grim leading up to the weekend, there is no way we will get the track dry and repaired in time.
The AGM was scheduled to be held at the conclusion of the race day. Now that the racing has been canceled, the AGM will be held at midday (12pm) at the track. We invite anyone to come, however, only financial members can cast votes.
IRC Off Road's Annual General Meeting will be held at the conclusion of our next race day (21/10/18). The meeting will commence at approximately 4pm and will be held at the track.
If by any chance there is adverse weather and the race meeting is canceled, the AGM will still go ahead at 4pm.
All current financial members are invited to attend. If you are interested in coming on the committee and have any questions regarding this, please do not hesitate to contact us HERE, or speak to any of the committee members.
IRC Off-Road will be hosting the SOAR Christmas Party Race on December 1-2. This will be a massive two day event that is kids and family friendly.
This will certainly be one of IRC's biggest events for the year and we hope you can join to celebrate a huge year at IRC Off-Road and finish it with a bang!

Last weekend a few of the committee members got stuck into some work at the track.
Significant improvements were made to the facilities including:
- Compressor blow off table was installed with a new compressor and two air guns.
- A new light was installed into the container.
- All of the rubbish around the track/in the containers was disposed of in a skip bin.
- Both containers were cleaned and sorted.
- The drivers stand container was prepped for a new coat of paint (rust removal and primer).
Thanks to all who came and lent a hand, these are great improvements to the facilities at the club and we will continue to improve the clubs facilities in the future.
We will be having a full day working bee this coming Saturday (01/09/18) as the track is a little rough from the last couple of race days.
This is the only spare day we have before next race day to get this work done due to fathers day being on Sunday and the Canberra Clay Cup being hosted the following weekend.
If you could lend a hand for even an hour or two, it would be greatly appreciated. There will be a BBQ lunch available for anyone who is helping out.
A few of our IRC members made the trip over to Thailand last weekend to compete in the inaugural SOAR Buggy Party.
The guys had an awesome time and said the experience was amazing.
With around 80 entries for the event, the guys results were very competitive.
In the Nitro A-Main, Mitchell Scott finished in 8th position. Theo Assa was in 5th position before playing chicken with a concrete wall, ruling him out of the race.
In EP8, Theo Assa took 1st position and Peter Coombs brought home 4th position, just missing out on 3rd by seconds.
Great job guys!
The results from yesterdays Campbelltown Hobbies Cup Round 3 are now live on the website.
