Track work for Proline will be starting tomorrow. The track will be closed from the point work begins until Saturday's practice at Proline. Please respect the work that goes into a big event by staying off the track.
Any racer caught on the track during this time will forfeit their entry in Proline. - IRC Committee. In the best interest of the Club and Members, we have decided to move the Timed Practice Day scheduled for Sunday to tomorrow (03/06/23).
This is due to rain being forecasted on Sunday. The track will be open from 11am-4pm. Fees are $10 for members, $20 for non-members. With last Sunday being cancelled, and the Australian GP on this Sunday, we have decided to run a Timed Practice Day this Saturday. The track was inspected today and is dry everywhere other than a few spots on the straight which the club will sort out tomorrow.
Track will be open between 9am - 3pm. Fees: $10 member, $20 non-member. Due to the recent rain, tomorrow's Club Day (26/03/23) has been cancelled. The track has been inspected today and is completely soaked. With more rain forecasted today and possibly more tomorrow, there is no chance of it drying to the point we can run.
The committee will have a discussion and advise if we can reschedule this in due course. In relation to the Open Truggy class for the NSW State Titles;
If we do not have 8 confirmed entries by next Tuesday (18/10/22), this class will not go ahead. The reasoning for this is because the club needs to organise plaques for this event and we need to give the printer sufficient notice to complete these. If the class does not run, any paid Truggy entries will have the choice to move their entry to GP/EP buggy, or obtain a refund. Additionally, the decision has been made to have Controlled Practice on the Friday (4th November). We aim to have 4 - 5 practice rounds (this depends on total entries). Seeding into qualifying will be completed using your top 3 consecutive laps from controlled practice during Friday. As for Scrutineering; this will be completed during finals only, as this is when re-fueling comes into play. It will be up to the drivers to self scrutineer their car during Friday/Saturday to ensure it meets the RCRA/IFMAR rules. We will have people available to help you with process this if you are not sure. Car Numbers; 3 x car numbers will be supplied and must be used at all times during Saturday/Sunday (one on front, two on either side). Race Calling and race marshals; race marshals will be monitoring racing during finals and will have two-way radios back to race control. Any driver caught hacking/cheating will receive a warning/drive through penalty (penalty will be determined by race control and will depend on the severity of their actions). A driver will be issued one warning only before penalties will be handed down. Finals; will be 12 cars total with minimum 3 bump. EP finals are planned to have a bump system in place to make EP racing more interesting. This will be confirmed and explained in more detail at the drivers meeting Saturday morning. I think that's about it for now. As advised previously, the event is only entry and payment only. Entry and payment MUST be made by 28th October. Any entries after this date will incur a $30 late fee. All event info and entry form can be found HERE. Time to make it official!

Hi all.
Just thought I would post up some information regarding Proline this weekend for anyone who is unsure or may not have been to our Club before. Camping: is allowed. However, please keep in mind there is no showers at the facility, and the closest toilet block is a 5min walk down to the Athletics Field amenities. Please also keep in mind that Council lock the entrance to the whole sporting complex at 11pm until 6am. Whether this is spot on 11pm, a bit before or a bit after we don't know and it is out of our control. So please ensure you have arrived/don't need to get your car out after this time. Power: We have mains power at the track, so bring your extension leads and power boards. Tables/Chairs/Marquees: We have a limited supply of chairs and tables. These are first in best dress. If you have the ability to bring your own, we recommend doing so. We do not have Marquees for this event - please BYO. Water/Blow Off: We have a blow and wash bay at the track for all to use, so no need to BYO compressor. Canteen: Will be open both Sat and Sun for food/drinks. EFTPOS is available for all purchases. Race Entry: Is online entry only. No entries will be accepted on the day. Entries close 11.59pm Thursday 15/09/22. Entry can be completed here: https://www.ircoffroad.com/online-registration.html Tires: Being a Proline event for those who have never attended one, it is controlled tire event. Proline Blockade's are the control tire and will be available for purchase at the canteen. Proline Aus has confirmed tire price will be $75. Entry Fees: First Class: $30 Additional Classes: $15. Additional Classes: Anyone running two classes must ensure that they marshal the races they are required too. Whether you do it yourself or get someone to fill in, it doesn't matter. But your marshal position must be filled. Failure to do so will lead to you losing your fastest qualifier. Format/Schedule: Format will be standard Proline - 3 rounds qualifying, rocket round deciding your place in the finals, then ABC finals (EP to run 3 x 10min A final, and lower EP finals will be 2 x 10min). Schedule will be posted once I have final numbers on entries (Friday). Saturday will be open practice from 10am - 4pm. Sunday we race. Due to ACT States being postponed (wet weather) we have decided to run a Club Day this Sunday. This means we will be running back to back this Sunday and next Sunday (21/08/22 / 28/08/22).
See you there! After careful consideration, both the IRC Committee and Proline Australia have agreed to cancel this weekends Proline Round.
This is due to the extreme weather forecast that is due to hit tomorrow and run all weekend. We would prefer to call it early to allow everyone to cancel their accommodation and get refunded. We will work with Proline Australia to get the event rescheduled and advise once we have an update. |
