Just like that we are another year down and what a great year it was. We are currently working on our 2020 calendar and it will be posted soon, so keep an eye out for that! Racing at IRC Off Road has finished for 2019 and we will be back after the Christmas/New Years break in 2020. IRC wishes you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Stay safe and we will see you again in 2020. Well done to everyone who was on the podium at last weekends Christmas Party!
Everyone had a great time on and off the track and the reports on the new track layout were very positive. Full results from the weekend can be found on the results tab HERE. The 2019 IRC Off Road Club Championship was finished last Sunday. The final results, point-score and podium pictures can be viewed in the Drivers Pointscore tab HERE.
Congratulations to all podium finishers in the 2019 Campbelltown Hobbies Series. The racing was extremely close (we even had a tie breaker)! It was a pleasure to watch and IRC would like to thank Campbelltown Hobbies for coming on as a track sponsor once again in 2019. Please see the final point-score and podium pictures below. Final Pointscore:Podium Pictures:Kev Lewis (middle) took 1st place, Theo Assa (left) took 2nd place and Mitchell Scott (right) took 3rd place in the Nitro Buggy 2019 Campbelltown Hobbies Series. Peter Coombs (middle) took 1st place, Corey Ellis (left) took 2nd place and Brad Richardson (right) took 3rd place in the EP Buggy 2019 Campbelltown Hobbies Series.
The final round of the 2019 Campbelltown Hobbies Series has been rescheduled to the 03/10/19. There was originally a club day scheduled for this date so this standard club day will now host the final round of the Series in 2019.
There is some extremely close series points leading into this final round. We hope to see you all there for a great days racing and to see who will take home the top positions. Last weekend some of the IRC Off Road members braved the 9 hour drive to Melbourne for Round 2 of the RCRA Australian Nationals. With Ryan Lutz making the trip from America for this event, it was not one to miss! Ryan held a workshop on the Friday night while the club supplied some delicious pizza for dinner. It was a great experience and one I am sure one many drivers will not forget. The Melbourne Club and everyone involved did a brilliant job on the track. It was a good mix of high speed flowing sections while still having some very technical sections that would bite if you made a mistake. Well done to IRC's Mitchell Scott for taking 1st place in the Sportsman Buggy class. Also well done to IRC's Ryan Holbrow who unfortunately suffered some mechanical failures in his finals. Ryan was driving brilliantly in both his Junior and Sportsman final before mechanical failures took him out of the race. All in all it was a brilliant weekend in Melbourne and everyone involved with the Melbourne club should be proud of the event. After great feedback and success in 2018, IRC along with SOAR SpeedBull is proud to announce the return of the SOAR SpeedBull Christmas party in 2019!
Entries are open HERE. IRC Off Road's AGM will be held at the conclusion of racing this Sunday (28/07/19), at approx 4.30-5pm.
We invite all financial members to attend. |
